June 2026
A maintenance outing has been scheduled for: Tuesday, JUNE 23 from 9-11 AM at Conlon Farm Park.
Another maintenance outing has been scheduled for: Saturday, June 27 from 9-11 AM at Scott Park which is hidden just south of HWY 7 and just east of the Hydro One maintenance station.
Directions: Can be found below.
The work we'll be doing: weeding; applying a layer of compost and mulch. Widening, repairing or replacing the protective fencing as needed.
Please bring any tools you may have for weeding, - a pail for weeds and/or water. The weeds can be thrown in the long grass along the edges of the park.
As always, wear what's needed to be working outdoors and avoiding ticks -hat, gloves, closed shoes or work boots, long sleeves and long pants. Bring your own drinking water as it can get thirsty working in heat.
No need to RSVP but we hope to have a good turnout of volunteers who don't have work- related or other committments. Many hands make light work!
Thank you!
The Conlon Farm Recreational Complex can be reached by turning west from Gore Street onto Cockburn Street and crossing Rogers Road when Cockburn becomes Smith Drive which is followed all the way to the corner with Conlon Drive where the chalet and parking is located.
Or you could drive north from South Street on Conlon Drive to arrive at the same chalet.
Scott Park can only be reached by turning onto Robert Road from Drummond Street West and then taking either Scott Crescent or Ridgeview Place to their end where a path can be found to the park from between the houses.
